The woman had been celebrating St Patrick’s Day at a friend’s house in north west London until the early hours of yesterday morning.
Leaving the party at 5am, she hailed what she thought was a minicab in a car park in Church Road, Harlesden.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said the driver threatened to shoot the woman, who is in her 30s, before raping her in the car park.
She was forced to carry out oral sex on the man, which is classed as rape under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
After the assault, the man drove his victim to her house – about four miles away – and took a £5 fare.
The rapist was described as black, aged around 35, with a wispy beard. He spoke with a foreign accent.
His car was thought to be a dark blue medium-sized vehicle.
